VIN Decode - this service is now available via SMS, the service allows customers to identify a vehicle by sending a text message from a mobile phone. The user simply prepares a text message which contains a keyword and then 17 digit VIN number concerned. The message is then sent to the registered short code number, and then within seconds the details of the vehicle are returned. For each VIN number which is decoded and returned to the sender, a fee of £1.50 is charged, which is debited or included by the mobile phone network provider.
